Remodels, new builds, estate cleanouts and storm repairs often take longer than a week. Every Summit Waste Solutions rental includes 7 days, and each extra day is $10. Pick your pickup date when you book and the full total is shown before you pay, or call during the rental to keep it longer. A 20 yard kept for 30 days in Stuart, Palm City or Hobe Sound is $672.87 with all fees included, plus $100 per ton after pickup.

On a 30-day rental, 23 extra days cost $575 at Yellowstone’s published $25 rate and $236.90 at Summit, including our admin fee. Dumpster Delivered offers 14 and 30-day rentals up front, which can work well if you already know your timeline. Ask them for that price and compare it with the totals above.
Keep One Dumpster or Swap It?
On a long project, the dumpster may fill before the work is done. When that happens, a swap-out brings an empty container and takes the full one to be weighed. Call the office for swap pricing and scheduling. If you expect to fill it only once, keeping one dumpster for the whole project is usually the simplest choice. If you will fill it two or three times, a larger size or planned swaps may cost less.
Tips for a Long Rental
- Cover it when it rains. Disposal is billed by weight, and rainwater in the debris adds weight. A tarp helps, especially from June through November.
- Check your HOA. Some associations limit how long a dumpster can sit in a driveway. Ask before you book a long rental.
- Plan the spot. We need a clear, level area at least 10 feet wide and a little longer than the dumpster (10 feet for a 10 yard, 20 feet for a 20 or 30 yard), plus room for our truck to back in, and we place boards under the container to protect your driveway.
- Keep prohibited items out. Hazardous waste, chemicals, wet paint, oil, batteries and propane tanks are not allowed, however long the rental.

How long can I keep a dumpster?
As long as your project needs. Every rental includes 7 days, and each day after that is $10. Choose your pickup date when you book, or call us to extend.
How much does it cost to keep a dumpster for a month?
In Stuart, Palm City or Hobe Sound, a 30-day rental is $518.37 for a 10 yard, $672.87 for a 20 yard and $775.87 for a 30 yard with all fees included, plus $100 per ton for disposal.
Can I extend after the dumpster is delivered?
Yes. Call the office at (772) 201-4642, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and we will move your pickup date. Extra days are $10 each.
Is it cheaper to rent a dumpster for longer or to rent twice?
Usually longer. A second rental means a second delivery, fuel fee and pickup, while each extra day with Summit is $10.
